Display System 3

'Bench' System

This display system is made up of a main unit and stand and was designed and built to order for an exhibition of pewter castings by the Ottawa artist, Deborah Margo (www.deborahmargo.ca). The main unit is shaped like a curved mattress and can be free-standing on either face, or supported on the separate stand that matches the curve of the main unit. The main unit is equipped with an optional mounting system (comprising pipe rods at either end) that can be attached to any other leg system or hung from overhead cables.

The main unit is made of an MDF torsion box frame skinned top and bottom with flexible plywood and 1/2" cork. The ends and edges are enclosed in an MDF apron.

The stand is made of an open-bottomed MDF box with a top of flexible plywood and 1/4" cork.

Approximate dimensions of main section are 15" H, 22" D, 62" L, and base 36" H, 15" D, 24" L

Display System 2

'Mirror' System

This display system is made up of a framed mirrored unit that sits flush to the wall, and a second framed unit, containing the artwork, projecting from it at 45 degrees. This was designed and built to order for an exhibition of work by the Ottawa artist, Deborah Margo (www.deborahmargo.ca). The artwork is created on a perforated black mat that is to be viewed from both sides. The mirror serves to provide back-light for the artwork when viewed from the front-left, while also allowing the viewer situated front right to see the artwork from the back.

The system is made of red oak, back-silvered mirrored glass, black matting and non-reflective glass. It is mounted to the wall on custom red oak mounting brackets.

Approximate dimensions are 30" W, 18" H and projects 20" from the wall.

Display System 1

'Lectern' System

This is a wedge-shaped lectern-style display system that tilts the artwork towards the viewer at 18 degrees. This was designed and built to order for Castings, an exhibition of work by the Ottawa artist, Deborah Margo (www.deborahmargo.ca). The translucent artwork sits on the etched glass top and is 'lit' from underneath with natural incident light.

The lecturn is made as an open-bottomed red oak box with an acid-etched frosted glass top. It is mounted to the wall with embedded hangers.

Approximate dimensions are 18" W, 6" H and projects 16" from the wall.
